Butch Gore Memorial Park is a youth-focused complex that hosts state and national softball tournaments. It features four lighted competition fields, practice soccer fields, batting cages, a playground, restroom facilities, and a concession area. The park also includes a walking/fishing pier and a picnic pavilion for 100 people, along with the nearby Laurel Ridge Boat Launch for outdoor activities.

Shaded oak trees provide picnic areas, and there are two basketball courts. The park hosts a cookout before the Southern Classic Football game to honor the previous year's winner and loser.
